The backstory to Over watch is described through a animated shorts and otherinformation distributed by Blizzard in promoting the game. Overwatch is set sixty years into the future of a fictionalized Earth, thirty years after the resolution of what isknown as the “Omnic Crisis”.

Prior to the Omnic Crisis, humanity hadbeen in a golden age of prosperity and technology development. Humans developed robots with artificial intelligence called “Omnic”, which were put touse to achieve economic equality, and began to be treated as people in theirown right.

The Omnic Crisis began when the worldwide automated “omnium” facilities that produced them, started producing a series oflethal, hostile robots, that attacked humankind.

The United Nations quickly formed Overwatch, an international task force to combat this threat and restore order. Two veteran soldiers were put in charge of Overwatch: Gabriel Reyes and Jack Morrison.

Though Over watch successfully quelled the robotic uprising and brought a number of talented individuals to the forefront, a rift ended up developing between Reyes and Morrison. Morrison became the leader of Over watch, while Reyes took charge of Black watch, Over watch’s covert operations division.

Overwatch maintained peace across the world for several decades in what was called the “Overwatch Generation” as the team gained moremembers, but the rift between Morrison and Reyes intensified.

Several allegations of wrong doing and failures were leveled at Overwatch, leading to apublic outcry against the organization and in-fighting between its members, prompting the UN to investigate the situation.

During this, an explosion destroyed Overwatch’s headquarters I Switzerland, purportedly killing Morrison and Reyes among others. The UN passed the Petra’s Act, which dismantled Overwatch and forbade any Overwatch-type activity.

Overwatch is set six years after the PetrasAct; without Overwatch, corporations have started to take over, fighting and terrorism have broken out in parts of the globe, and there are signs of a second Omnic Crisis occurring in Russia.

A former member of Overwatch, the intelligent gorilla Winston, decides to begin reforming Overwatch to protect the peace once again despite the Petra’s Act, with the team members recruit in gold friends and gaining new allies in their fight.

Thus it is also revealed that Reyes and Morrison were not killed in the explosion, that, in fact, was the result of a battle between them: Morrison became a masked vigilante known as “Soldier: 76”, who is trying to uncover the reasons why Overwatch was shut down; while Reyes joined the criminal organization Talon and became “Reaper”, a terrorist disguised as Death.

Go back and explore the jungle: Monster Hunter: World

See the source image

The player controls a hunter that they can name, supported by an assistant handler, who are a part of the Fifth Fleet which has been summoned by the Research Commission to provide more support to the New World.

A particular focus of the Expedition is to study Elder Dragons, powerful beasts that can affect entire ecosystems, and why they migrate to the New World every ten years in an event known as the Elder Crossing.

While traveling to the New World, the Fifth Fleet encounters Zorah Magdaros, a massive Elder Dragon the size of a mountain.

After being rescued and arriving at the base camp, known as Astera, the Hunter and their Handler undertake various tasks to explore the area and study Zorah Magdaros at the behest of the Commander of the Expedition.

The Expedition determines that Zorah Magdaros is dying and is migrating to a massive graveyard, known as the Rotten Vale.

An Expedition-led capture mission against Zorah Magdaros is foiled by Nergigante, an Elder Dragon that feeds on other Elder Dragons, and is protecting Zorah Magdaros as its future meal.

After escaping the ambush, Zorah Magdaros unexpectedly enters the Everstream rather than traveling to the Rotten Vale. After further investigations, the Expedition learns that if Zorah Magdaros dies within the Everstream, its released bio-energy will destroy the New World.

With no time to evacuate, the Expedition develops an emergency plan to intercept Zorah Magdaros and drive it to the ocean, where its released bio-energy will form a new aquatic ecosystem.

Nergigante once again interferes, but this time is driven off by the Hunters, and Zorah Magdaros is successfully driven into the ocean.

However, when Nergigante flees to the Elder’s Recess, an area in the Everstream with massive amounts of stored bio-energy, the presence of Nergigante drives away its Elder Dragon prey toward neighboring locations, upsetting each individual ecosystem.

With the help of the Admiral, the true leader of the Expedition, the Hunter is able to track down and kill Nergigante. With Nergigante dead, the Elder Dragons calm down and return to the Recess.

The God has return with a son: God of War

See the source image

Many years have passed since Kratos took his vengeance against the Olympian gods,  and he now lives with his young son Atreus in ancient Norway in the realm of Midgard.

The game opens following the death of Kratos’ second wife and Atreus’ mother, Faye, whose last wish was for her ashes to be spread at the highest peak of the nine realms.

Before starting their journey, Kratos is confronted by a mysterious man with godlike powers. After seemingly killing him, Kratos and Atreus begin their journey.

Reaching the Lake of the Nine, Kratos and Atreus encounter the friendly World Serpent, Jörmungandr.

After running into impenetrable black mist which can only be extinguished with the Light of Alfheim, they receive aid from the Witch of the Woods to use the Bifröst in order to travel to Alfheim and secure the Light.

Upon vanquishing the mist and reaching Midgard’s peak, they overhear a conversation between the mysterious man, revealed to be Baldur, his nephews Modi and Magni, and the imprisoned Mímir.

After they leave, Kratos and Atreus confront Mímir, who reveals that their goal is actually in Jötunheim, but travel there has been blocked to keep out Odin and Thor.

Mímir, however, knows another passage. He instructs Kratos to cut off his head and have it revived by the Witch of the Woods, revealed to be Freya. Kratos immediately distrusts her, but both Freya and Mímir warn him that he must tell Atreus about his true nature.

Kratos, Atreus, and Mímir’s head journey to collect needed components to open Jötunheim’s portal when they are attacked by Modi and Magni. After Kratos kills Magni, Modi flees, but later returns and ambushes them.

Atreus collapses ill, which Mímir and Freya explain is a mental contradiction of a god believing himself to be mortal. She tells Kratos that he must retrieve the heart of the Keeper of the Bridge of the Damned in Helheim, but his Leviathan Axe is useless there.

Kratos then returns home to unearth his old weapons, the Blades of Chaos, and is haunted by Athena’s spirit, who goads him about his past. After retrieving the heart, he has a haunting vision of Zeus.

Atreus is cured and Kratos tells him that he is a god. Atreus then becomes increasingly arrogant on their journey, and he murders a weakened Modi, despite Kratos ordering not to.

At Midgard’s peak, they are ambushed by Baldur, resulting in Jötunheim’s portal being destroyed and the group falling into Helheim.

Atreus makes amends with Kratos and they find out about Freya and Baldur’s familial relationship. Returning to Midgard, Mímir realizes there is another way to reach Jötunheim, but it requires recovering his missing eye.

See the source image

After obtaining it from Jörmungandr’s belly, who had inadvertently swallowed it when he ate a statue of Thor, they are attacked by Baldur again, but Freya intervenes in an attempt to protect her son.

During the fight, Baldur is pierced by Atreus’ mistletoe arrow, breaking Freya’s spell on him. Baldur is defeated, and although Kratos gives him an opportunity to retreat, he instead attempts to strangle Freya, forcing Kratos to kill him.

A grieving Freya swears revenge on Kratos and taunts him about hiding his true nature from Atreus. Kratos finally tells Atreus about his past and how he had killed his fellow Greek gods, including his father Zeus.

Atreus laments if all gods are good for is committing parricide. Kratos tells Atreus that they should both learn from their experiences and not repeat the mistakes of their predecessors.

A silent Freya leaves with Baldur’s corpse and Mímir hopefully suggests that she will eventually move on from the tragedy and that Kratos did the right thing.

Michael Townley, Trevor Philips, and Brad Snider partake in a botched robbery in Ludendorff, North Yankton. Nine years later, Michael is living under witness protection with his family in Los Santos, under the alias Michael De Santa.

Across town, gangbanger Franklin Clinton is working for a corrupt Armenian car salesman and meets Michael while attempting to fraudulently repossess his son’s car; the two later become friends.

When Michael finds his wife Amanda sleeping with her tennis coach, he and Franklin chase the coach to a mansion, which Michael destroys in anger.

The owner turns out to be the girlfriend of Martin Madrazo, a Mexican drug lord who demands compensation to avoid further violence. Michael returns to a life of crime to obtain the money, enlisting Franklin as an accomplice.

With the help of Michael’s old friend Lester, a crippled hacker, they perform a jewellery shop heist to pay off the debt. Trevor, who now lives in a trailer park on the outskirts of Los Santos and believes Michael was killed in their failed robbery, hears of the heist and realises that it was Michael’s handiwork.

Trevor surprises Michael and reunites with him, after tracking down his home.

In time, the personal lives of the protagonists begin to spiral out of control. Michael’s increasingly erratic behaviour prompts his family to leave him.

When he becomes a movie producer at film studio Richards Majestic, Michael comes into conflict with Devin Weston, a self-made billionaire venture capitalist and corporate raider, who vows revenge after his attempts to shut down the studio are thwarted by him.

Franklin, meanwhile, rescues his friend Lamar Davis from gangster and former friend Harold “Stretch” Joseph, who repeatedly attempts to kill Lamar to prove himself to his new brethren.

At the same time, Trevor’s reckless efforts to consolidate his control over various black markets in Blaine County see him waging war against The Lost outlaw motorcycle club, several Latin American street gangs, rival meth dealers, hillbillies, private security firm Merry weather, and Triad kingpin Wei Cheng.

Federal Investigation Bureau agents Dave Norton and Steve Haines contact Michael and demand that he perform a series of operations to undermine a rival agency, the International Affairs Agency.

Under Steve’s direction and with Lester’s help, they attack an armoured convoy carrying funds intended for the IAA, and steal an experimental chemical weapon from an IAA-controlled lab.

As Steve comes under increasing scrutiny, he forces Michael and Franklin to erase any evidence being used against him from the FIB servers. Michael takes the opportunity to wipe the data on his own activities, destroying Steve’s leverage over him.

Eventually, Michael, Trevor, Franklin, and Lester start planning their most daring feat ever: raiding the Union Depository’s gold bullion reserve. By this time, Michael reconciles with his family.

However, Trevor discovers that Brad was not imprisoned as led to believe, but killed during the Ludendorff heist and buried in the grave marked for Michael. Trevor’s feelings of betrayal cause friction within the group and threaten to undermine their Union Depository plans.

When Michael and Dave are betrayed by Steve and become caught in a Mexican standoff between the FIB, IAA, and Merry weather, Trevor, feeling that he is the only one that has the right to kill Michael, comes to their aid.

Despite not forgiving Michael, Trevor agrees to perform the Union Depository heist and part ways with him afterwards.
